This is a map showing the location of the schools taking part in the project.
From the very beginning it was meant to be integrated in the curricula of all countries.
At the beginning of October teachers had a meeting, this was the kick off.
The title suggested at the beginning 'Media' was a temporary one because we wanted our students to choose it so that they could feel that the project was theirs.
The students suggested their own ideas in the forum and then they voted to choose the final one and the winner was .... THE YIN YANG OF THE MEDIA
Teachers wrote their expectations from the project:
Pre-surveys were filled by students and teachers and the results were analysed.
Schools were introduced:
Students chose between Pixton and Voki to introduce themselves and the winner was .... VOKI:
It was time to choose a title for the project. After suggesting some possible ones on the forum, we had to VOTE
The winner was 'THE YIN YANG OF THE MEDIA', suggested by a Turkish student.
After having a title the next step was getting a logo and a poster.
It was agreed that every team would suggest a logo and the one for the project would be made with all the suggestions.
These are the ones made by our team.
We voted for the logo that would represent us and this is the result.
The one the team chose to represent us was made by Laura, who got a certificate for it.
And the winner was the one made by the Romanian team.
We wanted to show our towns and villages.
And then, activities started.
In the first one, 6 students from each school worked in 6 transnational groups of 17 members in the forum, each of them led by 2 or 3 teachers. 16 created dialogues about different topics related to the media:
1. What's the media?
2. The history of the media
3. Misconceptions in the media history
4. From the past to nowadays
5. Smart signs and their meanings in the media
6. The world through an alien's eyes
Finally, the 17th member made a comic based on the dialogues.
1. What's the media?
2. The history of the media
3. Misconceptions in the media history
4. From the past to nowadays
5. Smart signs and their meanings in the media
6. The world through an alien's eyes
All of them were joined in an awesome book.
The activity was evaluated by means of an attitude scale and these were the results:
At the beginning of November there was a very interesting webinar in Turkey about media literacy.
As a summary:
The next activity had to do with media jobs.
Teams were paired up. Our partner was the one from Edremit, Turkey. Students had to write descriptions, qualifications, ... of the jobs assigned. Ours were 'SCRIPTWRITER & NEWS PRESENTER'.
After writing on the forum, we had to make cards and then games using Learning.apps.
These are the GAMES.
We had fun playing them.
The next activities had to do with FAKE NEWS.
First we dealt with the topic in class using this documents:
Then students were divided into 6 mixed groups in order to make fake news about different topics that would be joined in a newspaper.
1. Breaking news
2. Economy / Weather
3. Sport
4. Entertainment: film, theatre, books, games or music
5. Health / Tourism
6. Fashion / Food and drink

Nerea worked on entertainment.
Laura wrote about tourism.
Meanwhile teachers made a Kahoot where students would have to decide whether the sentences were real or fake..
We played it on an online meeting.
Christmas came and we wanted to send our good wishes to all our partners.
In January we worked on social media.
Students were divided in 5 groups with different tasks in order to make a common book.

We watched two videos, one about Turkey and the other about Spain, in order to play a Kahoot about both countries. Then we introduced ourselves and our hobbies. We had a wonderful time.
We were invited to a webinar organized by our Italian partners about a very important topic.
After dealing with the topic 'Holidays' in class, we made a travel brochure about all the countries involved in the project.
As a final product, we made a multilingual dictionary with words related to the media. In teams we wrote definitions for them, we drew pictures related to them and we read the words in our own languages.
In March teachers had their second online meeting, where they worked and had fun.
They revised the activities done and decided on the future ones and who will carry them out.
They had fun playing a Kahoot about the project.
A good project has to be assessed, so there were post-surveys for students and teachers, which would be compared with the pre-surveys.
Families' opinions are extremely important to assess a project.
We made collages of all our work in order to prepare an ONLINE EXHIBITION.
Everybody had their certificates.
Students ...
and teachers.
We also made some presentations to conclude the project.
