In recent decades, interest in the environmental crisis has been growing and the concept of “sustainability” has become the cornerstone and objective of environmental education, stimulating an increase in interest in changing individual behavior.
One of the fundamental needs of present-day society consists of establishing educational activities oriented towards sustainability education as a tool to better guarantee a future for future generations.
The aim of this project was that students in 2nd ESO could become more aware about our planet's safeguard by using digital tools, collaborating with other students in international classes and improving their motivation to learn English.
There were 10 teachers taking part in the project with their students and they were from:

First we introduced ourselves, both students and teachers.
It's important to know the starting point, so there were presurveys for students and teachers.
This is the STUDENTS' PRESURVEYStudents are the most important part in a project, that's why they were in charge of giving it a title. These are the TITLES SUGGESTED.
They made word clouds to learn and practise vocabulary related to means of transport and sustainable mobility.
When we dealt with the topic of holidays and travelling in class, we made some travel brochures and we included the countries involved in the project.
UNFORTUNATELY, AN EARTHQUAKE HIT TURKEY AND SYRIA SO WE STOPPED WORKING ON OUR PROJECT OUT OF RESPECT FOR OUR COLLEAGUES SINCE THEY HAD TO CONCENTRATE ON THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND STUDENTS.
WE'RE SURE THAT WE'LL CONTINUE WITH THIS WORK IN FUTURE YEARS.
